Ecclesiastical Projects

As a practice we are involved in all aspects relating to the conservation and care of Churches and Church buildings as well as working with parishes with the aim of providing an ongoing and sustainable future for Church buildings at the centre of their communities.

We currently work with over 120 Churches across the diocese of St. Albans, Oxford & Peterborough, and our services range from the carrying out of Quinquennial Inspections and surveys of elements of the existing fabric, to repair specifications, level access solutions, provision of facilities and other insertions, extensions, full or partial re-ordering & new church halls.

We assist our parishes through consultations with their DAC, Historic England, Local Planning Authorities and amenity societies such as SPAB, The Victorian Society etc., and liaising with appropriate specialist consultants and conservators. We also assist with fundraising and grant applications, as well as making presentations for consultation purposes.

In 2013 the practice received the EASA & NCT Presidents' Award, which is named after three presidents: The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York as Joint Presidents of the National Churches Trust, and the EASA President.

The award is given for the best example of new design in re-ordering, alterations, extensions or new buildings which are specifically for liturgical use and was received for the New Church Rooms at St. Mary's Church, Hertingfordbury.
